Levofloxacin is a drug that is used to treat infections caused by bacteria. It’s also used to treat infections of the urinary tract, tonsils, sinuses, nose, throat, female genital organs, skin and soft tissues, and lungs. Because this medicine is in the form of an ophthalmic solution, it addresses bacterial infections in the eyes. Levofloxacin is an antibiotic that inhibits the function of a bacterial enzyme known as DNA-gyrase. This stops the bacterial cells from reproducing and mending themselves, resulting in their death.

Prednisolone 1% is used to treat ocular irritation induced by certain diseases. Usage Of Levofloxacin & Prednisolone Eye Drops

Direction To Use This Medicine 

Use it at the dose and for the duration recommended by your doctor. Hold the Levofloxacin & Prednisolone Eye Drops close to but not in contact with the eye. Insert the drug into the lower eyelid by gently compressing the dropper. Wipe away any excess liquid and rest your head for 5 minutes to let the eye drops to thoroughly inhale into your eyes.

Precautions For Levofloxacin & Prednisolone Eye Drops

Do not use more Levofloxacin & Prednisolone Eye Drops or use them more frequently than prescribed by your doctor. Remove the patient’s contact lenses before applying the drops to the eyes. If the patient’s eyes are inflamed from infection, avoid using contact lenses. Before using this, inform the doctor if the patient has had any sort of eye surgery.
